Bohinj enjoys a tranquil setting between a beatiful lake and mountains, and is handy for the nearby skiing at Vogel and by skibus to Kobla.

A peaceful fairytale village which enjoys the twin bonuses of being well priced and beautifully located. Skiing, by western Alps standards, is a bit limited and best for beginners and cautious intermediates looking for a quiet, inexpensive leisurely break.
Mountain Information
Kobla has a couple of low level beginners runs and three consecutive chairs up the Kobla mountain. There are two parallel drag lifts mid mountain.There are four red runs linking from the summit station to give one decent long descent. Vogel is accessed by a long cable car which access the base station of Rjava Skala, high on a gentle shelf which has a couple of short beginners lifts. Above there are four chairlifts and one drag lift which access a fair range of terrain including four black runs. There is one long red run back to valley floor level from the upper mid station Orlov Glave.
Apres Ski
Both Bled and Bohinj major on their ranquil, peaceful setting. Bled has a few restaurants, cafes, bars (including a The ubiquitous Kilkenny pub)and a pizza restaurant and offers everything from award winning haute cuisine. Bohinj has the friendly village of Ukanc neaby with a few bars.
